The Purpose of First Church of God is to glorify God in all things by: 

1. Reaching out to those who don’t know Christ with the message of salvation and discipleship.  (Matthew 28:19-20)

2. Growing up to be like Jesus in our thinking, standards and maturity.  (Ephesians 4:11-13)

3. Growing together in fellowship of Christian love for each other.  (John 13:34-35)

4. Lifting up those in need in our community and world simply because they are in need and we have help to offer.  (Matthew 25:31-46)

This purpose stands over, and brings together all the church does.  It has implications concerning all the ministries that are proposed and attempted by the church.  It is the impetus behind our efforts to keep reaching new people, to keep endeavoring to become more mature Christians, to continue to care for each other and to do our best to help the needy.  All that the church does or intends to do is to, first and last, bring glory to God.
